Where pets are allowed
- Along established roads and in parking areas.
- Established campgrounds and picnic areas.
Where pets are not allowed
- All hiking trails and all off-trail areas, including when a pet is carried.
- Visitor center and other buildings.
Leash rule
Pets must be restrained; reviewed source states a maximum leash length of 6 feet.
Safety notes
- NPS warns of extreme heat, hot pavement, sharp rocks, cliff edges, rattlesnakes, scorpions, and predators.
