- Roadways open to public vehicle traffic.
- Roadside campgrounds and picnic areas.
- Maintained grounds around public facilities and residential areas.
- Private boats.
Where pets are not allowed
- All trails, including boardwalk, paved, and unpaved trails.
- Unpaved roads.
- Shark Valley Tram Trail/Road.
Leash rule
Pets must be restrained; reviewed source states a maximum leash length of 6 feet.
Safety notes
- NPS warns that pets in unauthorized areas may be exposed to predatory wildlife and may endanger handlers or visitors.
