Where pets are allowed
- Developed areas: vehicles on park roads, frontcountry campgrounds, picnic areas, roadsides when stopped, and parking areas.
- Boats on lakes where motorized watercraft are permitted.
- The bike path between Apgar and West Glacier when it is free of snow.
Where pets are not allowed
- Trails, backcountry, buildings, and lakeshores outside developed locations.
- Roads closed to vehicle traffic, which are treated as backcountry trails.
Leash rule
Pets must be restrained; reviewed source states a maximum leash length of 6 feet.
