Where pets are allowed
- Public roads and parking areas.
- Developed campgrounds and picnic areas.
- Grounds of Zion Lodge.
- Pa'rus Trail, the only Zion trail identified by NPS as allowing pets.
Where pets are not allowed
- All other trails besides Pa'rus Trail.
- Wilderness areas.
- Shuttle buses.
- Public buildings.
Leash rule
Pets must be restrained; reviewed source states a maximum leash length of 6 feet.
Safety notes
- NPS says to keep pets out of the Virgin River because harmful cyanobacteria and cyanotoxins may be present at any time of year.
- Zion warns that heat can make vehicles dangerous for unattended pets.
